Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn, an American actress. She was best known as Skyler on AMC's Breaking Bad drama, and was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award Outstanding Supporting Female Actress in Drama Series 2013 & 2014. She played Jean Ward and Martha Bullock as well in The Practice. Anna Gunn, born 1968 in Sante Fe New Mexico fell in Love with Acting in the Preparatory stage before moving with her family to Ohio. She attended Northwestern University to study theatre as well as the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her career in Chicago-area theatres for a few years. Then she moved to film and television. Anna had her biggest break in the year 1992, when she portrayed Arden for 29 episodes of Down the Shore. The actress continued to make appearances as an actor in few TV movies and shows like Seinfeld and NYPD Blue until the late 1990's, when she was cast in a regular role in the role of Jean Ward in The Practice. Martha Bullock, a character which she played for two years during Deadwood's 2nd season. In 2008, she was cast as Skyler in Breaking Bad. In addition, she was a part of the Deadwood film as well as Sully. Gunn also starred in David Schwimmer directed the film Sex With Strangers. Gunn acted as Numbered Days, which is a four-part audio show that premiered in 2022. Breaking Bad often revolves around Walter White and Skyler's relationship. The strains and eventual ending mirrors the last years that were the life of Walter White.
